The course is aimed at acquiring basic knowledge of marketing with regard to the possibility of application in social services, social work and social entrepreneurship. Upon completion, students will be able to apply basic managerial methods and decision-making techniques in social services, social work and socially beneficial entrepreneurship. The essence of marketing in social services and social work will be to recognize the congruence of the needs of the outside world with the purpose, goals and resources of the institution, as well as the importance of the public image of institutions to target audiences. In addition, in a practically oriented course, students will learn about the role and creation of social/socially beneficial business (the so-called business model) as a tool for solving social problems. Students also practice teamwork. Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to generate ideas for social entrepreneurship and build a business model (following lean canvas methodology).
